These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of MyPADECA.org and any related programs, events, communications, or services offered by Pennsylvania DECA ("PA DECA," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing the website, submitting a form, registering for an event, or otherwise interacting with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the site or our services.

Pennsylvania DECA is the chartered state association of DECA Inc. for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania — a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. PA DECA operates as a membership association under its charter with DECA Inc.

The site is intended for use by:

• Students enrolled in DECA-affiliated chapters at PA schools.
• Chapter advisors and educators with active chapter affiliations.
• PA DECA alumni and their networks.
• Sponsors, partners, vendors, judges, and community members engaging with PA DECA programs.
• Parents, guardians, and members of the general public seeking information about PA DECA.

Some areas of the site (including the admin dashboard) are restricted to authorized personnel. Unauthorized access is prohibited.

Members under the age of 18 should obtain parent or guardian permission before submitting personal information through the site or registering for events.

You may access and view the website for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes related to your involvement with PA DECA. You may not:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable federal, state, or local law.
• Scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect data from the site by automated means without our express written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the site, our servers, or related systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the site or related infrastructure.
• Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information through any form.
• Use the site to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
• Reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display PA DECA content beyond fair-use educational purposes without written permission.
• Use PA DECA's name, logos, or trademarks in any way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement without permission.

When you submit information through any form — including contact inquiries, sponsorship interest, alumni signups, chapter inquiries, and event registrations — you represent that the information is true, accurate, and complete. You are responsible for keeping your information current.

For event registrations and membership signups submitted on behalf of minors, the submitting adult represents that they have authority to provide the minor's information.

All content on MyPADECA.org — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, video, audio, and software — is the property of Pennsylvania DECA, DECA Inc., or our licensors, and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The DECA name and diamond emblem are trademarks of DECA Inc., used under license by Pennsylvania DECA. The "Pennsylvania DECA" mark is associated with our chartered state association.

Photographs of members, officers, and event attendees are used with the consent obtained at the time of capture or through standard chapter and event waivers. If you appear in a photo and wish it removed, contact us at Josh@MyPADECA.org.

If you submit feedback, suggestions, testimonials, or other content to PA DECA through the site or by email, you grant PA DECA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with PA DECA programs and communications, attributed as appropriate. You will not be compensated for submitted content.

The site contains links to third-party websites and services — including DECA Inc., Jotform registration forms, social media platforms, sponsor and venue partners. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

Participation in PA DECA events — including the State Career Development Conference, the Chapter Officer Summit, district competitions, and career days — is subject to additional event-specific terms, codes of conduct, permission slips, and DECA Inc.'s national competition rules. By registering for an event, you agree to comply with those additional terms.

The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PA DECA disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pennsylvania DECA, its officers, board members, advisors, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or relating to your use of the site or PA DECA programs, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the site shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you paid PA DECA in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pennsylvania DECA, its officers, board members, advisors, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the site, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any rights of another, or content you submit through the site.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the site after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any event-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pennsylvania DECA regarding the site and supersede all prior agreements on this subject.
