How PA DECA
is structured & led.

Pennsylvania DECA is led by a paid executive team and governed by a Board of Directors representing each of our twelve districts. We operate under a charter from DECA Inc., established in 1960.

Executive Director

A PA DECA member since 2012, Josh started in high school and served as PA DECA State Vice President. His volunteer roles have included Chapter Officer Summit Coordinator and Written Event Coordinator. An entrepreneur, he owns a digital marketing and website development agency serving clients nationwide.

Emily Eckenrode

Director of Operations

As an alumna of PA DECA from Downingtown STEM Academy, Emily is thrilled to rejoin the organization as Director of Operations. Emily was a member of PA DECA from 2017-2020. She continued her education at West Virginia University, earning a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management in 2024. With experience in luxury resort operations, event planning and execution, and IT project management, Emily is excited to return to Pennsylvania and contribute to PA DECA's unwavering success.

Outside of the office, Emily enjoys attending concerts and sporting events (Go birds!); cooking and trying new recipes; reading; and traveling around the country to explore new areas. Emily and her partner are parents to two cats, Chai and Cobweb.

Involved with PA DECA since 2015 at Bethel Park High School, Alyssa has managed production at SCDC since her student years. She graduated from Penn State University in 2022 with degrees in Finance and Management Information Systems and currently works in Analytics for DICK'S Sporting Goods.

Natasha Williams Solomon

State Officer Advisor

Natasha S. is Pennsylvania DECA's State Officer Advisor and a passionate advocate for student leadership. In her role, she supports the state officer team, leadership programming, membership growth, and initiatives that serve thousands of DECA members across Pennsylvania.

Outside of DECA, Natasha serves as Director of Student Affairs at Linden Hall School for Girls. Her professional background includes student affairs, counseling, residential life, leadership development, and education.

Natasha loves helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and turn ideas into action. She believes leadership is about service, relationships, and creating opportunities for others to succeed. Her favorite part of PA DECA is watching students grow into impactful leaders who make a difference in their schools, communities, and beyond.

Outside of work, Natasha enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring new cultures through food. A dedicated foodie, she's always looking for her next great meal, favorite restaurant, or travel adventure.

Founded over 75 years ago, DECA is an international association of more than 260,000 high school and college students across 4,000+ chapters preparing for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.

Pennsylvania DECA was chartered in 1960 and operates under a charter from DECA Inc. (Reston, VA), aligning with national standards on competitive events, curriculum, and the comprehensive learning program that drives student success.
